Hmmmmmm.....?

Maybe you should use a compressor/Limiter to bring your sound on an
acceptable level.

Analog Clipping is ouch ! 
DSigital Clipping is strange.
Try a smnooth compressor setting,and maybe later expand it again to get 
full
dynamic.
