RE: gtr amps and loopers

Hi,

I agree with Per, combining guitar amps and loopers can be tricky. I feel
privileged when I have the chance to perform by plugging almost directly
into a single channel no nothing tube amp - and personally I prefer my old
handwired little Gibsons, Ampegs and my bigger Hiwatt over anything you
could possibly mention.

With all the effects I want to use (OD's, whammy, ringmodulator etc.) I try
to keep them out of the signal chain by using a couple of router/true
bypass
boxes and a miniaturized high quality line mixer to add parallel effects
like delay, reverb and loops - all before the amp/s I am using that day.
For
clearly rhythmic ostinato loops with the EDP I tend to rout them into a
seperate amp (or play the main guitar in stereo and have the EDP just go to
one side). This way I have a better separation between live guitar and the
looped stuff.

Best wishes, Andreas
