I don't think it's possible. The closest to audio layering you would come 
in
Logic is to set up "cycle recording" with "auto create new track in cycle
record" (or whatever this setting is called in the Logic pref's). Most of
the cool looping functions are not available for external midi control in
Logic; like reverse audio file, multiply etc etc.
