I've had some luck with TS Audio-to-Midi. Version 3.20 has a fast
percussive-attack detection mode which I use for triggering from
percussion.

Use a virtual MIDI device (MIDI Yoke or Maple MIDI Tools) to route the
MIDI between your audio-to-midi app and Live.
