The Kaoss (both KP1 and KP2, the old and the new model) send independent 
CCs 
for X axis, Y axis and X+Y axis (which, I think, is a sum of both values). 
On the KP1, these are preset to specific CC numbers. On the KP2, they can 
be 
set to numbers of your choosing (within a specific range). These settings 
are however stored in the general setup, not with patches, so you can't 
change the controller assignment with your foot...that's something you 
would 
have to do on the receiving side.
