I wrote a product review for Guitar World a few years back, mostly because
I was the only one around who could write an review of a microtonal guitar.

I wrote it and handed it in. They asked for more and then left the more 
out.
But they edited it a bit and paid me, so I don't care. I think if you 
write in the house style,
they edit less.
