fade out on EH16 pedal?

I seem to have forgotten what settings on the reissue EH16 will allow a
loop to be fade out. I would like to basically have it loop infinitely and
then set on it again and have it slowly decay and fade rather than
abruptly stopping when the loop is finished playing. There are so many
damn modes and switches on this thing I am pretty sure I did this before
but now I can't get back to it.

I am using the V2 hardware with the bars setting >32 so I can manually
start/stop the loop if that matters.

thanks for any/all help.
