Sure, Kris, and there are a lot of shitty acoustic jazz guitarists in the 
world.
The gear doesn't make it shitty........................the lack of 
creativity and/or skill does.

It's true of all music and in a way,  it may not be necessary to have a 
philosophy about it.

Just don't buy the person's album............................don't attend 
their next show.

Or better yet,   use the same gear and make a piece of music that you 
think 
is worthwhile.
