Tape Echo Repair

Sort of off topic perhaps, perhaps not.

My beloved Multivox ME-20 tape echo has suffered some debilitating
disease and now refuses to erase anything while it plays and I now get
only a sort of mush of sound from the box when I turn the tape heads on.
My local repair folks have all given a pass on even wanting to try to
repair my beloved box and so I was wondering if anyone here had a source
for tape echo repairs that they might be able to recommend. It seems
like a potentially simple repair but who knows. I miss my tape echo
already.

Thanks in advance

Kevin
