Hi Manu,

Nice to hear that Berlin is "a sunny place" right now. The winter has
finally passed even here in Sweden and we're slowly starting to crawl
out from under those icy rocks where we hide during the dark part of
the year.

On this festival documentation page, by Bernhard Wagner, there are
lots of links to other festival documentations at the bottom of the
page: http://loopfestival.com/ Sufing around those links should
give you a good general overview.

When I arranged a looping festival here in Sweden in 2003 I decided
to make it more like a tour based around a small group of traveling
musicians. Starting one year in advance I sold the package to paying
venues and invited the venues to place local musicians to join us on
stage or do their own sets. This worked well for Sweden, but maybe
one big festival at one fixed date is a concept better suited for
Berlin, since Berlin is such a big city and also geographically
located in a much more crowded part of Europe.

Personally I think it's a great idea to put on a festival but a bad
idea to make it a contest.

Greetings from Sweden
