You need to connect your inputs and outputs to Sooperlooper using
JackPilot's Routing window. You click on your Built in Audio on the
left, then double-click on the sooperlooper on the right, and vice
versa. You should then see some meter activity in SL and recording
and playback will work.

Since you are on a macbook, you will have needed to make an aggregate
audio device so the inputs and outputs show up in the same device,
which you pick in the JackPilot setup. If you haven't already, you do
this from the /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup, look in the
Audio menu for the Aggregate device editor.

Consider joining the SL mailing list (
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sooperlooper-users ) for
more discussion (it is low volume). For MIDI control of the
standalone SL, you will need the tool Midi Patchbay (see the SL
website for more info).
