Re: joystick data, midi and bidule

help - help - help !

i have tried to get hubis loopback device running as a midi in device - and failed.
the instructions for set up are for windows 98. anybody have a link for a newer version
or any suggestion for a similar program?

hello everybody,
you may remember that i started to build a controller for bidule/mobius.
this is how far i got:

i have 6 switches and a line6 effect pedal (now with a stereo jack) sending
joystick data.
i have tested this in vmidijoy and got the lights blinking and a virtual
meter moving.

i have found the "hid data extractor" and wired it to a little vst synth
(jxsynth) into my duplex soundcard (thinkpad built in).
using the hid data extractor in keyboard mode works: i can play the synth
with key commands.

when i change to the usb interface i built and click on "midi learn" i get
the message:
"you need at least a MIDI input in the patchbay to control a parameter from
a MIDI controller"

i have searched bidule for a midi in object and can't find it.
"midi devices" shows an output, only.
does anyone have an idea what i should do?
(per maybe?)

thanx a lot in advance and smooth looping - tilmann

ps. just found out, that vmidijoy announces on setup that there are no midi
devices available.
bad device id.
