RE: Alesis Modfx

Congratulations and welcome to the fun tone mangling world of ModFX.  I have the whole set.  I use every one (with the exception of the MetaVOX)  on a regular basis.  I have them strung together sort of as a set and usually run them before any looper/delay boxes.  I would NOT sell any of them off until you’ve played with them a bit.  When you hook them together and get them sync’d you’ll discover some really really cool sounds.  The last video I posted (Snow and Ice) was a Akai AX73 synth run through the ModFX (and several other fx.)

Have fun!

Tony

Good morning,

Tomorrow I am receiving 6 of the Alesis modfx boxes. These are the Ampliton, Bitrman, Faze, Philtre, Phlngr and Smashup. I was interested in the Bitrman but got them all in a package deal reasonably.

I am asking for any tips, tricks, etc from users of these devices. As of now I am of a mind to sell all but the Bitrman and Philtre but who knows. I have read alot of reviews and such. But I know some of you have lots of hands on experience. I don't even know where to but them in my ever increasing chain of fx. I am such a gear junky!

Thanks,

Jeff
