Yep, as the LP1 doesn't have SUS functions and longpress (like the edp) it 
means
the simplest midi controller works fine.
.. but I wouldn't rule out that a more complicated foot controller is 
needed to
do *some* things on the LP1.

Beware though...a lot of midi controllers out there have clunky switches 
that
don't respond fast enough for accurate loops.
...and some just have a slow response time.

What we really need is some kind of "Loop Compatible Standard" for midi 
controllers.
With accurately tested response times, and minimum requirements for 
features.
