using the Axon AX-50 midi input

does anyone have an AX-50 guitar-midi converter and could help me with 
this?


I connected the midi out from my PMC-10 footpedal to the midi in of the
AX-50, hoping that the PMC-10 would turn up as a midi-in device in Bidule.
But it didn't. Actually I think this should be possible (the Axon website
says that a footpedal can be connected to the AX-50 midi input to control a
Kontakt sampler). I'm not sure where the problem is.

I used a Steinberg USB-2-Midi to plug the PMC-10 into the USB of my 
notebook
but for some reason, this suddenly doesn't work either.
