The Lake -- Water, Abstraction, Marya Photo Essay on Flickr

Hi folks,

Forgot the link

Two weeks ago, my wife, Marya, and I took a weekend getaway at the
family cottage on a lake in Connecticut. It was a special weekend for
us -- medical issues had kept us close to home for the past year. As
always, I took lots of photos.

The Lake -- Water, Abstraction, Marya consists mainly of pictures of
the lake taken from the cottage's back porch, and the dam that holds
in the lake, a short walk from the cottage. Moat of the water
pictures have been abstracted by throwing the water out of focus,
putting glass objects (or my fingers) between the lens and the water,
or by zooming way in on specular reflections of the sun off the
water. Interspersed with these are photos of Marya, resplendent in
her new summer hat.

There are some images processed with Photoshop filters at the end of the
set.
