Not that I know of. Possibly by setting the EDP to be controlled by
CC#s instead of notes... but all I have heard about this is people
saying "notes are better for the EDP".

No. For the same reason as regarding the first question: on the FCB a
MIDI channel can only be set per each "pad" ("pad" in the sense the
manual uses that word) and there is only one pad for MIDI Notes. For
CC#s there are two, though. And for PC's there are four, if my memory
serves me correctly. That's an unlucky design, it should have been at
least two pads for Note Numbers. We could do fine with one less pad
for Program Change. A typical mistake due to product designers not
being in contact with real musicians.
