Re: softstep and mobius users

I have to warn everyone that the software seems less than stable right now... I had a good couple of days, and then WHAP! new firmware and new software completely put me at a standstill.

I agree with you Jeff that it might be hard to control volume and feedback... It IS eminently configurable tho (when the software is working) and there is already a "slew" control to smooth out "wiggly foot syndrome"...

I have one on order.  Just reading specs, I'll probably

set it up much like the FCB, each switch sends note on/off

0-9 in bank 1, 10-19 in bank 2, etc.

I'm not sure how useful the pressure sensitivity will be.

The obvious candidates are the output level, feedback, and pan

controls but you usually want those to be smooth and it sounds

like that might be difficult.  If we have to we could implement

some kind of controller smoothing with scripts.

Rate and pitch shift amount are other possibilities.  Setting

parameters like the number of subcycles or Quantize Mode could

also be done but for those I think it's easier to cycle through

a set of values just by pressing a switch several times rather

than trying to dial one in with pressure.

We'll see...
