No particular tempi, but generally I play inside a technical tempo
range between 60 and 120 BPM. With "technical" I mean what the looper
and effects think is the temp. The MUSICAL tempo may be the half or
double as fast.

I only use one method for "switching" and that is to deactivate a full
system of objects while activating a new system. Each system is a
complete signal routing setup in its own right. In Bidule I'm using
the Audio Switcher object to do this; I send in a MIDI Program Change
to tell the Audio Switcher what lower tag to connect the upper input
to. In Mainstage it is built into the functionality by changing patch.
Mainstage is faster because this host pre loads all plug-ins used in
all patches into RAM, while Bidule has to reload the plug-ins as you
change to a new system. I like the Reverb Tail Preservation in Bidule
better as you can program it to not close the old patch's audio until
it has naturally faded out, but I still prefer using Mainstage because
I find it more CPU friendly and better sounding (thanks to all the
built-in Logic plug-ins)
