mobius question

another mobius question, i'm afraid

if i understand i correctly (and i've never been an edp user, so please bear with me), the secondary feedback parameter should affect the way that functions like substitute work, by controlling how much of the original material is kept underneath a substituted part of a loop. if i'm right, then i'm a little confused, because when i select "enable secondary feedback" the prerecorded audio doesn't drop in level if the secondary feedback is set low. if i turn it off, it seems to make no difference whether i set this to min or max - whenever i use substitute, all of the previous audio is replaced.

again...it's probably to do with something i havn't set up right somewhere - any clues where to look?

many thanks
