Re: Short Boomerang III Review

I second that emotion...

What I love is the flat switches which allow for precision and are easy on the feet. Plus it is very forgiving with input levels, exactly the opposite of previous generations.

What kills me is the limited implementation of features (the fact that the two bonus buttons can only be assigned 4 functions out of 11 or so). I would have much rather had a larger footprint with more footswitches. The upcoming sidecar should take care of my concern, but I would sure rather have it all in one unit and I would sure rather have it TODAY.

That's my one and only beef about the 'Rang. Well, that and the fact that you can't save loops to a card.

I would highly recommend the unit to anyone who feels that the features are what they need. The quality is absolutely superb.

Thanks for reading. I've been using the 'Rang for a about a year now. So far, it's been my favorite hardware looper. Sounds great and friggin' easy to use, too. Darren Michaels
