Hey Kevin. So my previous post was incorrect... Delving in tonight, I seem to have solved the problem here. For me, using Live with Echoloop (close relative of Möbius), the solution waxy to send TWO Note On messages, both at 127, one in the "down" stream and the other in the "up" stream. Once I did that, Record behaves exactly as it should, including long and short press behaviors. And while the other functions were working well enough, deploying this same dual Note On scheme at all the buttons on my foot controller opened up all the other short/long press stuff for everything ! Not certain this will solve for you, but we are not so far apart I think, and maybe there is at least a clue for you here...
