RE: midi looper?

I have only ever had limited success with this, even though the thought process seems like a good one, for some reason, getting the "loop" to sound similar ot the original always falls short of my expectations.

I have used a few Ipad apps such as Beatmaker and Nano Studio for this  along with trying hardware using the MPC 500

my last attempt will be the day I get an Octatrack which seems to offer some of the flexibility that I need because of its outstanding engine for running multiple lengths of sequence on different tracks and the P-locks for quickly mangling the CC data.

good luck on the search.

Hi folks,

Anyone know of a midi looper?  I found one (Piz), but the OS X version is apparently not developed at the same rate as the windows version.

I'm looking to loop some midi data (mostly notes, but maybe CCs as well).  I've been wasting time trying to build one in Bidule, but I'm sure there something available somewhere...

VST/AU, Bidule patch, PD or Max...  whatever works.

(I know Ableton does this, but no thanks)

thanks,

Sylvain
