This is a new feature, yes.
It's not yet documented or described AFAIK, there are just dome video from the conceptor (search for Sam Aaron on YT). Perhaps on the github is there some info, but I didn't had a look yet. I'm waiting for this new version to be released for WIN and to see if I really want to dive into this live looping/coding stuff.

Thank Benoit, that's really exciting. Do you know where live audio is documented or described? Is this a new feature in the sonic pi beta? Thanks, I'm looking forward to trying this out.
