this was in the latest "guitar player" mag.....it may be helpful for thems that didnt know this (like me)............. note value................formula for note duration in milliseconds quarter note....................60,000 divided by bpm = quarter note ms eighth-note.....................quarter-note ms divided by 2 sixteenth-note................. " " " " " 4 half-note......................... " " " X 2 whole-note...................... " " " X 4 dotted quarter-note.......... " " " + eight-note ms dotted eight-note............. eight-note ms + sixteenth-note ms quarter-note triplet........... half-note ms divided by 3 eight-note triplet.............. quarter-note ms divided by 3 i know we talked about this a bit ago, but i thought this chart might be helpful......... btw, in a past post the "roctologists" spoke highly of the under-rated zoom 2100, i could not stop myself from getting one from musicians friend for $99.00 and i must say that i got half that value out of it yesterday in my first venture into it, a lot-o-fun, the sounds on it are no great shakes but being able to have 3 5 sec. samples at your disposal is kind of neat........the "roctologists" were going to put a review of this beastie on the LD site, i hope they do so........it seems to be a fun little tool.......it is a bit limited, but what the hay, a little more spice for the loop soup.......more on this later, perhaps?................michael
