Thanks to all for your help with this.
Yes, the ability to sweep the loop time/pitch continuously from shortest 
to 
longest is one of my favorite things about the 16 sec.  And as nice as 
hi-fi 
loops are, I've always been in love with the grain and grit of it at 
longer times.
Hopefully mine will live again.
