howdy loopoids,

my wife and i are heading to london in late march (nice and cold i hear) 
for
a well-deserved vacation.

i'm looking for info from our english brethren (and sistern, too) on venues
in london (or otherwise) that feature live music in the "avant-garde" vein;
mostly improv is what i'm looking for. so . . . any clubs, halls or
publications that i should know about? (not adverse to knowing about some
techno- or electronica-type stuff either.)
