MP3

Thanks again to list members' response on making AIFFs into RealAudio.
RealProducer is quite easy to use.  Now I'd like to try out making MP3s to
compare the quality; RealAudio files are nice and compact, but I do get a
few weird artifacts.  Can someone point me to a free application that will
do a quick and easy MP3 conversion of Mac AIFF files?  TIA....
