I generally find that when several people are playing at once, the less overt looping I do, but that my loop-enthusiasm is contagious, resulting in at least a few people I've jammed with exploring looping for themselves. (You know who you are, lurkmonsters; Saturday?) I've done most of my looping lately with just a drummer, but we like to jam with "special guests" as often as possible to keep those infamous "creative juices" flowing. I agree with Mr. Potter about how it's much more fun to play with people who "get it" loopwise, but while I enjoy solo looping (both to do and as a listener), I still prefer playing with one or two other people, whether or not they're looping. I also thought postaldave's comment was funny, but then again, I was here for the "ornery, anti-social loopers" thread a few months back to which he was alluding. Someone new to the list might not have gotten the joke, so I think Kim was correct in his reply.
