I think the DL4 is as clean as can be. It is my favorite delay and it is 
cool as a looper. Did you know that if you hook up the expression pedal 
you can actually fade a lop in and out and back in again. I use it in 
front of my EDP and two loops a little 
out of synce will build a great sound wash.
