DL4 exp pedal

Hi all,
 
I've bought a DL4 a couple of weeks ago.  There's an expression pedal that goes with it, but I wonder if it's worth buying it.  As I can read in the manual, there doesn't seem to be much use for it.  Any owners like to comment on that?
