Well I hope you have an amp w/ effects loop-in my long(20 yrs) search for guitar tone and its manipulation you need a stong signal to start with-therefore the guitar should go straght to amp(pre) and then to processors(volume pedal included) then to power amp. By having the vp first you are not allowing a slamming signal to hit your pre-amp therefore belittling your overall guitar signal. All of the great guitar tones that you or I have ever heard have been dependent on the guitar pick-ups to preamp relationship. Also this allows for the vp to shut off any anomalies inherent in your system. You wont hear anything until you engage your vol. pedal.IMHO. I hope this helps...STANNER ---------- >From: Michael Clark <mcl451@airmail.net> >To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com >Subject: Re: Volume Pedal Question >Date: Sun, Aug 27, 2000, 3:18 PM > >So far, the set-up looks like this: > >Guitar to VP to DT 2112 to Berringer DeNoiser to EDP to amp. > >I'm getting noise (hiss) from the amp and a bit from the 2112, annoying >artifacts from the 2112 and an erratic volume curve from the VP. > >I'm want the nice, Real Quiet (low, low hiss factor), violin sound so I >can >loop smoothly, evenly and atmospherically w/o building up too much noise. > >I'm getting a bit frustrated, but I'm not giving up! ;-) > >Thanks, > >Michael > >At 02:59 PM 8/27/00 -0700, you wrote: >>What is the imput and the output of your vp hooked up to?...STANNER >>---------- >>>From: Michael Clark <mcl451@airmail.net> >>>To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com >>>Subject: Volume Pedal Question >>>Date: Sun, Aug 27, 2000, 2:32 PM >>> >> >>>Hello Everyone, >>> >>>With all the hi tech talk that goes on here, my question may seem silly. >>> >>>I'm recording soft, atmospheric, ambient pieces with an EDP and DigiTech >2112. >>> >>>I'm using a RFX volume pedal.
