I've run into the same problem, and I have the Ebtech box, and it's not a magic bullet solution. I've found the most common culprits to be neon signs and dimmer switches. If you're using single-coil pickups, just give up at this point. And even well-shielded guitars (humbuckers with sheilded control cavities) will allow hum and buzz if they're feeding a compressor and/or distortion box going into your rig. Sometimes plugging into a different outlet fixes it, but many times it doesn't.
