trigger

I have a Waldorf 4-pole and I'm using it as a pedal
effect for my guitar. It has a audio input and a
trigger input.
Does anyone knows what can I use as a trigger input?
No sequencers, just a simple foot switch that I could
control the start of the envelopes.
