EDP: midi undo long press (Kim/Matthias?)

i would like to program a midi controller to do a long press of undo from a
short press on the controller.  is it safe to send an EDP only the "on"
controller value for undo?  this seems to work as desired w/ the current
firmware.  will it continue to do so?
