Well, t*b*t*n b*w*s use a small wooden stick. I think it's the grain of the wood that does it. I'd try a small, unfinished dowel rod. It'll be difficult to get the right tension. Maybe use some springy material like foam rubber or plastic to hold the dowel rod. Of course, you could try a doll with a spring loaded arm... Like a the hair on a violin bow, you need a roughed (serrated?) surface that "catches" as it rubs. Dennis Leas ------------------- dennis@mdbs.com
