Boss PS-3

Anybody hear of rewiring the pedal button to route the input to the output 
or effect.  This would enable looping with out adding to the loop. Doesn't 
sound like it would be difficult in theory. The effect would be on all the 
time.  Anybody?  I guess an AB/A+B switch would work also with a small 
mixer 
for the signals?

I can always use another ps-3 if anybody has one.
