Using Phrazer live - pros & cons?

hi all -

i'm in a situation where my favorite drummer in the world keeps leaving
my little town, causing my group to shut down periodically. in an
attempt to keep moving on we are considering using the phrazer
application w/a pile of pre-recorded percussion loops as our main beat
maker when he's gone.

any thoughts?
