OT- Field recorder question- Olympus DS2000

Anyone ever used the Olympus DS-2000 as a field recorder? It has up to 64mb
SmartMedia card, built in USB for transfer to a pc/mac and jacks for
external speaker or mic- I use a MD now but would love to record really
quickly and be able to easily call up things for live performace or to pre
load my EDP with in a live setting- I'm just not sure how good it sounds-
