That's a very good point. In their last tour through california (summer 2001), I was lucky enough to get a pretty good seat, and was very curious to see how they did live what they had accomplished in the studio. It looked like a lot of their live sound design was looping and effects processing, mostly controlled by the 2 guitarists. They looped vocals _and_ guitars, I think.
