LOL There were quite a few palindrome years during the first millennium, but it dropped off as the number of digits increased. The first century is the all-time winner, with eighteen (1 2 3...11 22 etc.). The rest of the first millennium had just nine each (101 111 121 ... 191), and now it's down to one per century (1001 1111 1221...1991 2002 etc.). Once in a while there's a year that reads the same rotated (1691 1961) and the are are a rare few that are the same upside down (1001 1881). Our next palindrome will be in 2112.
