For simply looping static phrases or comps so that you can play another part over it, the Boomerang will do that for you easy. You're just using it like a phrase sampler on the floor for that. Both units go farther though, the EDP MUCH farther. In short order, though, I guarantee you'll discover quite a bit more of the potential of looping. Certainly some of this potential lies in the Boomerang, but the EDP blows the Boomerang out of the water when it comes to potential and flexibility. Basically, you'll be able to explore more with the EDP, it'll grow farther with you (or your use of it anyway). The Boomerang is more self contained, and cheaper. The EDP more powerful and flexible. *shrug* What do you want?
