I run a guitar/bass instruction studio on Long Island. I
suspect the median income is a bit higher than most parts of the country, yet my
prices are considered fair, and many of my adult students
actually think I undercharge! I charge $25 per half hour, $50 per hour, payment
at the beginning of the month for that month's lessons. I use a very clearly
worded studio policy to cover absence, lateness, cancellations, reschedulings,
etc.
