EDP hiccup and giggle

Last night at a gig, my EDP suddenly stopped working.  Lights out, nobody home... and since it's in my signal path, no music from me.  (I rerouted.) 

 

At the same time, my bassists amp (the Polytone he uses for his upright) blew a fuse.

 

I kept checking it by turning it on and off: no lights.  A little blink of the display when I'd turn it on, that's all.

 

At the set break a few tunes later, I checked it again: it came on just fine and stayed on.  I plugged it all back in and it worked perfectly.

 

Anybody else have this experience?  I'm thinking funky wall voltage may be involved.
