I have the qm ? flanger-with-no-name, and it's absolutely amazing. It's easy to feel like extreme settings aren't very useful, but if you hang in there and think out-of-the-box, you'll eventually have several extended techniques available that you wouldn't want to be without. A couple days is just not enough time to even begin to explore the potential of the Ring Stinger or the ? I've heard statements that ring modulation isn't very 'musical' from time to time (on this list possibly), and I think that's mostly a matter of taste and imagination as well. As for cost... well, yeah, they're pricey. When I'm low on cash and gaze at my ? flanger, I sometimes see $$$$$. Restraint! Restraint! I'd regret selling it the second I put it in the box. -Miko ----- Original Message ----- From: "JAMES FOWLER, III" <jimfowler@prodigy.net> To: <Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com> Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2003 7:34 AM Subject: Re: Lovetone stuff > now that's more like it. i owned their ring mod for a > couple days and it was just wild, but not very useful. > i really dig their tremolo/vibrato thingy. > > -jim > > --- Jeff Shirkey <jcshirke@midway.uchicago.edu> wrote: > > >"lovetone" and "reasonable price" don't belong in > > the > > >same sentence...unless it's this one. > > > > True. > > > > Anyone have any unreasonably priced Lovetone stuff > > for sale? :) > > > > Jeff > > > >
