Akai mpc 1000 vs. roland sp808

Hi folks,
I want to integrate a sampler to my loopers so ive
been checking out the new akai mpc1000 seems really
cool,compact and does a lot but the price makes me
look at other opitons like the sp808,which although
bulkier seems very cool and about 400.00dlls cheaper!
any thoughts opinions or experience with this babies
would be appreciated!
