Audio Interfaces

I've got a Tascam US-122 audio interface (USB, 2-in,
2-out + midi in/out). Does the job I need for
recording at home for the most part, but I've been
thinking of using it live. So I tested the whole
layout at home the other day (looping with my Mac,
SooperLooper, and the FCB1010) but I got an obnoxious
high-pitched hum no matter what setup I tried. I
tried running the audio out of the US-122 into my PA
head (which resulted in the hum), and also straight
into my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 410 amp, and both
situations resulted in the same high-pitched
background hum. I tried different cables, different
inputs, etc.

When I use the US-122 with my little near-field
monitors, I get no hum. Am I doing something wrong,
or does this not work for reasons to which I'm
oblivious? ;)

Thanks,
Mike
