I used an interesting Indian sequencing/sample program called SwarShala. http://www.swarsystems.com/SwarShala/ You don't have to use the sequencer either...you can just access the percussion, drone, tanbura, etc samples directly. I can send you a few of the samples on Friday, if you want to check them out. I'll zip a few up. Just send me an email.
