A long time ago, I assisted Brian Eno for a sound instalation where he 
was using Koan for his generative music. At that time I did have a look 
into it and kind of liked it, but in the end I prefered my own 
generative algorithms.
But it certainly is something to give a try. I have no idea about its 
current state though...
