Definitely firewire (or usb2). I have a Motu 828 MK2. I was going to go for a Motu Traveller but then I thought, is it really worth the hassle of unplugging all those cables, take out the sound card from the rack and bring it to a gig or to travel. Plus the Motu Traveler has connections (like midi I/O) on the side of the box, which makes it useless when racked. For travelling, I got a Behringer FCA202. I haven't tried it yet but it looks great. Firewire at 100 bucks is a great deal. -----Original Message----- From: Kris Hartung [mailto:khartung@cableone.net] Sent: 19 March 2006 17:26 To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Subject: Audio Interface for Notebook Users I'm interested in finding out what audio interfaces all you notebook computer users are using in place of (bi-passing) the internal soundcard? USB? Firewire? Can you share what you are using? I'm interesting in something that is compact but also high quality. Kris
